"We created The Cosy Bean with one simple goal — to bring a genuinely warm, welcoming coffee shop back to the heart of Sedgley.
We're passionate about exceptional coffee, freshly prepared food and making every customer feel at home. Whether you're popping in for breakfast, meeting friends for lunch or enjoying a quiet coffee, we want every visit to feel relaxed and welcoming.

How it all began
The Cosy Bean started with a simple idea: Sedgley deserved a proper independent coffee shop. Somewhere you could linger over a flat white, catch up with a friend, or simply sit quietly with a good book.
Aidan and Laura found a spot on their local precinct and decided this was the place to set up home.
What started as a dream has grown into a small team of passionate people who love great coffee — and genuinely love Sedgley.
What we stand for
Sourced with care
Every bean we use is ethically sourced from small-scale farms. We work directly with importers who pay fair prices and build long-term relationships with growers.
Community first
We host local art on our walls, support Sedgley events, and keep our prices honest. This is a neighbourhood café, not a chain.
Craft in every cup
Our baristas train seriously. Every espresso is dialled in fresh each morning, and we taste every batch of beans before it goes on the menu.
Treading lightly
Compostable cups, oat milk as standard, and a partnership with a local composting scheme for our coffee grounds. We're not perfect, but we're always improving.
Rooted in Sedgley
Sedgley is a town that looks after its own, and we try to do the same. We host regular Events to benefit charities locally. We support our local precinct with community clean ups as we

We're open Monday to Friday 8:30am–4pm and Saturday 9am–2pm. No reservations needed for a coffee — just walk in. To reserve a table, give us a call.
